Les Aventures de Pinocchio (2009) by Lior Navok is a 61-minute musical tale in two acts for three narrators, woodwind quintet, and piano. Based on Carlo Collodi’s classic story, the work explores Pinocchio’s journey toward identity, responsibility, and moral understanding. Beneath the colorful characters and familiar episodes lies a deeply human narrative about learning through mistakes and discovering one’s place in the world. With a French libretto by Navok, the piece offers a rich and engaging addition to the contemporary repertoire for family concerts and narrative chamber music.
