Dunes (2005) by Lior Navok is a 5-minute work for unaccompanied flute inspired by the shifting shapes of wind‑formed dunes. Sometimes rapidly changing, sometimes still under a gentle breeze, these transformations are translated into sound through fluid gestures, contrasting motion, and atmospheric writing. The piece offers flutists a vivid, contemporary addition to the solo flute repertoire.
