Program Notes:
During the scorching summer of 2009, I found myself composing Frozen Junctions in a shaded, air-conditioned apartment in Tel Aviv. The distant traffic and honking sounds were the only reminders of the bustling, steamy world outside the composer’s igloo.
Frozen Junctions, for vibraphone, viola, and piano, is dedicated to Sarah Bob and Aaron Trant.
