Program notes:
The sound of Vibraphone combined with the string quartet is not very common. The mellow strings meet the vibraphone to create a cloudy, hunting atmosphere. The quintet is in five movements made out of two main themes that wear different look for each movement. For most of the time, the piece is dreamy and cloudy. Yet, as in the second and fourth movements, it also has an energetic and humorous side.
