Program notes:
In the very hot Summer of 2009 I found myself composing “Frozen Junctions” in a shaded, air-conditioned apartment in Tel Aviv. The very distanced traffic excitement and honking sounds were the only reminiscent of the busy / steamy world outside the composer’s Igloo.
The work is dedicated to Sarah Bob and Aaron Trant.
